Starting from the top, the shelves gradually increase in depth. This admirable piece belongs to our “Primitive Collection” | http://www.evolutiamade.com | 1.855.277.5495

How did the Long Leaf Heart Pine end up on the decline?

How Did the Heart Pine End Up on the Decline?

As the amount of people increase, the demand for basic materials that once use to be abundant  – may not be such an abundance anymore. One of our popular top species of wood is the heart pine. It is loved for it’s exquisite character & continue to be one of the most valued materials today. However, high demands soon led the way to the decline of the natural heart pine population. By using reclaimed heart pine, we are able to conserve the natural living population & help it grow.

What People Are Saying About Evolutia

“I love what they do & what they stand for. The materials from Evolutia are second to none. The service I receive is always outstanding. I can’t remember the last time I received this type of service from any business. Thank you all so much for your help & service!” —Michael B.

“The milled heart pine floors finished in a satin tone creates a warm, comfortable pallet on which to decorate our entire home.  Thanks to Evolutia for providing historic timbers which are the foundation for our new home.” —Howard & Brenda C.

“I think that it is very important to reuse and repurpose the resources we already have available. I think repurposing and recycling are going to become more and more important to society as we move into the future. Evolutia does an amazing job of taking items that may have lost their luster over time, repurposing or refinishing them and giving them new life.” —Curt & Lacy P.
